;DCount on me for one, Chanito! I just put a store-bought windshield (a heavily-discounted closeout unit) on my Vino 125 and it makes much more difference than I would have guessed. I'll take smoked, or if you decide to limit it to clear, I still want one! Thanks for doing all the R & D. With our membership, you have a potential market of around 400 customers. Good job!

Chanito, So I checked out the price over at my place in Clearwater, on a 4x8' sheet of grey lexan 1/8" (i was guessing on your original sheet's thickness) with uv coating to prevent the yellowing, they only wanted $95. If I figure it right and add your labor for cutting and all, you could squeeze out around 8 with room to spare near 35-40 if you do them in mass production. I'm not sure on shipping it down to you, I figure if we did it this way, I could have them cut down to 2x2s at the shop and have them sent off (I'd do it myself, but I don't have the heat gun ect.). Oh, and include the brackets in your final cost of course. ;D

Almost forgot; they told me that the lexan comes in grey and bronze. I was pretty sure we'd have a market for the grey, but I know how everybody wants to be the individual. Bronze might be kinda interesting on the ruck.

Ruction thank you very much, over here they measure the tickness in decimals, the one i use is somewhere around 0.156 (1/8 is 0.125), the problem is that i want them cut to 11 x 14 inches, the reason i want them to cut it is because when i try to cut that big of a sheet, they break very easy, so i will waste a lot of material, the place i find here can cut them but want at least 10 pieces at 14 bucks a pop, wich i think is murder because the clear ones are less than 5 (2 dollars if you buy 5) wich is what i did so i could experiment, and bronze would look nice in the yellow and the camo ;D

;D I guess I could see about a cut cost, but I think they were suggesting a sheet purchase only, with a seperate cut cost. Point being, I or the collective we would have to purchase a sheet and have it cut afterward. At those dimensions I'm figuring we can get 12. I'll be in that area this weekend, so I'll ask them what their cut costs are, try and take some pics of the two types, and further inquire about purchase of smaller pieces. Once everyone has seen the product and what they are offering, lets get a list together of the interested ruck ryders, collect some cash, etc. Further questions: 1. are you rounding the corners off on the top or are they cutting that for you; 2. did you experiment with different thicknesses and find yours to be optimal; and will Abe want to kill us for undercutting him with a superior product?

Thanks again ;D, i round the upper corners, that is fairly easy, but cutting straight parallel lines is easier said than done, no i did not experiment with different thickness (they just had those cut and in stock already) and about undercutting Abe, i doubt it very much, only two persons have my homemade windshield, spoonkiller and me, so unless Abe business is doing VERY BAD, we are not taking bussiness away from him
