I just got an 06, runs great, 42-43 mph. I have 75 miles on it and have decided the stock shock sucks. I am going to order soon from battlescooter. I need help with which shock. POINT BLANK Question: I am 300lbs, YES I know thats way overloaded but which shock should I order? I am thinking a showa 285mm, I want to still use center stand.

I have a 275mm length shock and the centerstand barely works, the tire rubs on the ground...... The showa is fine, or you can go with the BMF Rear shock from BSS(Battlescooter store) that they dont have listed on thier site. Just phone BSS and ask for it if you like the look

is that the bmf shock in the picture? what was the cost? Thanks The pic above is the BMF shock, i believe the price is $120 US, and its apparently retardedly stiff..... some compare to the showa on stiffest setting..... so should be just fine for you

LOL APPARENTELY ITS NOT RETADEDLY STIFF as crazy as timber describes it, in my opinion it's perfect! With stock shock going over bumps feels like im being tossed up and down like on a boat...and the occasion crack from bottoming out....but with the bmf the ruck corners like a champ and eats up the bumps like its nothing...its kinda of like riding in a car wiht saggy suspension versus and lotus elise with track prepped suspension that has hardly any body roll and does whatever you tell it to...the ruck feels super agile now.
About the weight...i weight 140lbs and stock shock when i sit on the ruck it sags down, this one barely moves..so you get hte idea... however the showa also does fine for most ppls i know that weighs similar to you

lotus elise with track prepped suspension that has hardly any body roll Drool... Yeah the BMF sounds like the way to go. It's sexy, stiff and it saves weight ;D If you're on a budget the chrome showa on the stiffest setting is probably fine or a 285mm regular showa would probably be good too. A 260mm showa will be too soft.

Sorry about that...I'll be back in the swing of things soon. I've just been really busy with school starting and with moving into my new place. Plus I only have internet at school. By the end of this week I should be online a lot more.

Try a 1 inch tube spacer over the rear spring. It did more than very fine for mine.
