Sounds good Timber! I planning on putting together an aftermarket shock buyers guide in the next day or two. When you do get this guide up you should just edit your original post so people don't have to look around for the guide.
Here's some variator tips: - if you use locktight always full clean out the old locktight from last time before reapplying or the nut will come loose - use the proper variator tool, it's so much easier to get the nut tight and you can make one in 15min for 5$ - Get the variator nut TIGHT! Failure to do this will wreck your variator and maybe your crankshaft (1200$)
And some carb jetting tips: - make sure you get the main jet snug because if it comes loose you'll become very rich off the line - adjust your main jet first to maximize your top speed and then use shims and slow jets to get the low/mid range right - too rich is safer than too lean because too lean burns very hot and can damage things.

One other suggestion is that you may want to make 2 seperate threads, one for the variator and one for the carb so our discussion can stay more focused and it's easier for n00b's to find all the info. You may just wanna abandon this thread to get rid of these soon to be useless comments and start a fresh thread for each.

The carb guide will come as soon as my jets are in, and i have some time to fiddle and fine tune, hopefully all those who need it badly can wait And for the main jet, Khehin suggests finding the main that performs best, and then going one size up for maximum driveablility. I prefer Abe's method of hot and cold testing
