Do I get a deal if I buy two? I might like to have a few extra's just for kicks. I want to port my engine eventually so it would be good to have a few spares. Maybe you should just start tossing in 2 with every kit. How many kits do you have left? Are you under 10 yet?

Kamino is right, but i put way too much efort on this to give those gaskets away, so if someone wants one they can buy one later on, as i will still have them ;D

hey chanito, can you give me an approximate cost if you help me do all the boring out, installing bigger piston, port polishing, and installing HO cam and is the idea feasible??

hey chanito, can you give me an approximate cost if you help me do all the boring out, installing bigger piston, port polishing, and installing HO cam and is the idea feasible?? If you want me to do it, It'd be: $115 - boring and honing including tax $100 - labour to rebuild engine $5 - labour to re-shim your values after the H.O. cam install $25 - labour to port/polish Total: $245 Cdn + Piston and Cam + Shipping both ways which is probably $40-$60/way (it's within Canada so you check in CanadaPost.ca, just the engine probably weighs 15-25lbs without exhaust/drive case). Probably cheaper if you drain your oil/coolant and unbolt the drive case (4 bolts) and exhaust because those add a lot of weight. I've got all the tools (ie. flywheel puller, bearing press, torque wrench, dremel) and supplies (sealant etc.)

You're proabaly best off to buy the piston now since they'll likely be sold out next summer and then save up for the install.

Look into sending the pieces by bus. Most buslines run a station to staion freight package sevice, you drop off and pick up at the depot. I know an aircraft mechanic in Nova Scotia who used to send engine parts for overhaul to Fredericton NB and back . He said the local bus line was the best value.

You might wanna post on TR too...or make them come over here As much as I'd love a 4V piston, I'm content enough with my 2V piston that it's not worth it to me to spend hundreds of dollars and countless hours rebuildng my engine yet again. If someone sources a 4V kit then I'd consider it but I've already dropped the coin for the 2V one so I'd really be taking a big loss selling a used piston and then paying probably $1000 for the 4V piston and 4V conversion parts. As a result, don't count me for a 4V piston unless things change....I may be interested in a spare head gasket or too though if I ever get around to modifying the intake port on that spare engine.

Can I hire you to do the install? I'm in Orlando...I can make some trips or send it. ( I haven't found a shop around here that I trust, and do not have enough time). I'm IN for sure!

Chanito, these pistons where first sold in mid June 2006 and you sold out about a month ago so while 8 months is longer than expected...it's not that long to move 24 pistons...that's like one every 1.5 weeks.

I barely have any free time left to do the rebuild, so they take way too long, it took me over a month to do Sanjuro and i am just finishing one for blackruck that is taking almost as long i can bore the block for 60 dollars if you have no one else to do it, but you will need a lot of patience for me to do the rebuilt And i honestly think that if IHAR had not started doing the overbore, i will still have some kits left.
