I just purchased an aftermarket variator and would like to do it myself. Does anyone know of an install guide that would help me out? The variator is a Kitaco. I am also receiving a stiffer compression spring, is this necessary and is it easy to replace?

Read the drivemod guide under the tech section on www.battlescooter.comYou don need to replace the compression spring or remove the clutch. But if your scoot got a lot of miles on it a change might be a good idea. |

If you go to Malossi.com and then search for the Zoomer you'll find the variator they sell for it which is basically identical to the one you bought. On that page you'll notice there is a huge downloadable install guide in a ton of languages. It's pretty thorough.
