Sorry, Chano, but when you spend all the time on the road, you don't have time to get regular updates. All you folks that had to cancel, I hate it for you. Missed a helluva time. Nobody died, but there was still plenty of danger to be had. I almost lost it in the Dragon (I'm sure there will be a super wobbly part of the video as I head for the ditch), Skuuter almost laid it down and then almost went off the side of a mountain, my bro took to riding in the wrong lane a few times... I guess it's because there weren't any Floridians braking in the middle of turns to stop us. And when we weren't riding, we were eating. It's no wonder most Ruckus owners are over 200 lbs. Combination of a day of riding and lotsa good food, I was wore out by the time I got back to Dock's Motel and was quick to pass out. I took a good bit of video, not too many pictures. I guess I'll throw together a photoshop album of them when I get some free time. Skuuter, if you'd e-mail me your photos (don't know my my bro didn't just copy your memory card when we were looking at your pics), I figure I'll incorporate some into my video. The video'll take some time to get put together, though, since I use my bro's computer to do it and he's going to be out of town for a couple weeks. And I haven't got my new PC, yet, I'm suck with my crap laptop. But, yes, fun ride. Even if Skuuter is way to slow on hills (up or down). And the weather was great! Cold in the morning, but during the middle of the day, it was great. Shedding sweaters and liners as the day progressed. Then putting them back on as night set on. Ha, ha. Yeah, we need to put together another one of these before a year passes. Too much fun.

Yeah, my Ruckus was terribly slow on the hills. Ran decent on Saturday finally, but rest of the time hills (especially up hills) just bonked it. Gonna' try a new spark plug. MaHawk's has one, but I've never put one in mine. I remember it really helping hers. The day it ran well is the day I tried to kill myself..... ......I hate wet tree sap............ I agree, a Spring Ride would be great........ WITH MORE MEMBERS............... ;D

I am interested in a ride like this. It looks awesome. How do you handle the speeds on these roads? Isn't there a problem with so many riders going below the posted limits?

I've found that on really twisty roads people are less upset at scooters going 30mph. I think this is mostly do to many of them being scared to take those turns at 30mph themselves. I've had people get impatient with me on straighter uphill sections, but then they can't keep up with me in the twisties. I'm not saying that I often slow down to 30mph, but it has happened.

The good thing in that area is that a lot of the speed limits are 35 mph, so we're actually doing them. And in the sharp turns, we can hold our speed better than most other vehicles on the road, leading to us having to pass cars and occasionally motorcycles.

OK. Good to know. I recently posted a thread asking riders in my area for good winding roads to hit. No responses yet. Passing a harley sounds even better. My neighbor owns a harley and all he says about my ruckus is that it is CUTE . So showing him a thing or two on the road would be priceless. Of course his harley did not make it on the road all year and I am riding in Nov.

Mine are about 250 miles away. My bro's in Wilmington for a week or two, so anything from me will have to keep. And besides, Skuuter took most of the pix. Me and my bro only took a handful.
