Maybe this is normal, maybe not. After I start my scooter and go down the road a ways, sometimes when I get to a stop sign, my scooter drops in rpm's so low it sounds like it's going to die. Now, it doesn't start to sputter and or anything it just sometimes drops real low. It has never died but hopefully you guys know what I'm saying. It just gets low. What could this be?

yeah mine does that too. I believe it's the engine computer trying to figure out if the engine is warm enough to let off the cold idle fuel enrichment (choke), I'm sure it's quite normal ;D

Same thing on my scoot. I thought the idle was too high so I lowered it a little. Now at night at idle the lights are really dim. I plan to borrow an electronic tuning tach to see where the rpm's actually are

The lights aren't supposed to dim? Ugh! Ever since I received my scoot from the dealer my lights have dimmed at idle. I idle at a speed thats high enough for the real wheel to slowly spin on the stand, and that's higher than when I got it new.

the headlight dimming is normal, all my vehicals have done that. The alternator doesn't produce much current at low revs so lights will dim, even the fan for the heater in your car will run slower, when you tap the gas, presto more current, lights light and fan motor spins faster. ;D
I personally have my idle set lower than stock on my Ruckus. I like the sound of a calm idle. And when you sit at traffic lights you can blip the throttle without the clutch engaging. (like a real motorbike)

It's just the Ruckus, it's so quiet! You can adjust the idle if it dies on you. On everyone having dim lights at idle. The Ruckus has a very over taxed charging system. Too many short trips will kill your battery. If you try to charge your battery by riding you will kill you charging system. My lights dimmed when the scoot has new. It is getting worse. Rewinding the stator for more juice couldn't hurt.
