It will be a pit bike, maybe something to go to town with when I have the Motorhome and trailer at the race track
I can buy a 2007 with 1200 miles from a dealer for 1650
or a new 2008 from a different dealer for 2049
what would you do? Money in hand isnt important. Long range value is
fwiw new dealer may come up with other incentives, but right now its unknown
I dont <need> the skooter
I would <like> a scooter by april..
pit bike etc

If the cash isn't an issue for you then get the new one. That way you can make sure you brake it in properly, change the oil after a few hundred miles and start the other maintenence at the correct time.

Both deals sound decent. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend, and what color you want. You can have peice of mind with the new one, or you can have some extra spending money on new parts with the used one. Either way, you'll love it.

Tough call....the 2007 still has a ton of life on it so I'd be inclined to buy that one but if money isn't an object then it makes sense to buy a new one so you get the full life plus the colour you want and the ability to maintain it properly.

I wouldn't buy either one from a dealer. With no registration requirement why pay tax and title fees when you can buy a lightly used scoot from an owner? Have either one of these dealers quoted you an actual out the door price? Where are you at? I have an 06 white model in Frederick, Md 21701 with under 1000mi I would let go for $1550.

I race at Road America, and at Mid Ohio where I would like to have a pit bike, I also Race a lot at Black hawk farms The registration barns are over a mile a way from the camping areas, and once I get my Motorhome and trailer set up, its kinda a drag to schlep all the way there. Some times I just take the race car, but there are restrictions to what time of day you can run them. Sometimes it would be nice to have a vehicle to go get a few groceries in town also you can have a look at my race car here www.btdtracing.com if you like. Didnt want to post a pic of it on a bike forum

The Carousel is a lot of fun, but you know what it leads to then?! Yup Pucker factor 10 (The kink) Mid Ohio was a bit overwhelming, if you worked corners there then you HAVE to look at the video on my site, I spun right after the crest, and if you watch you can see some A-holes and elbows moving pretty fast off the corner station! .. I was just practicing a "Rockford" ;D ya right btdtracing.com/gallery/v/Events/2007/Mid-ohio/mid+ohio+rockford.wmv.html
