As you guys know im new to this whole ruck stuff since I just got mine 2 weeks ago. I am 6'1" tall, and I feel like a clown riding one of those tricycles in the circus some times. I sit way to high up, and my legs are really close to the bars. My question is: If i were to add a frame extension and get a seat frame that is lower would it help me ride lower, and further back?

The frame extension does not move your seat back at all. It moves your driveline back. The lowered seat should help a little though. Maybe some pegs will give you some extra leg room.

are you talking about the extension kit? Or the a-bomb/varroa kit for moving your rear frame back? The driveline is the engine, backwheel, transmission, radiator, etc.

pikey, there are 3 things you can do: 1) Lowered Seat 2) Extension kit (as sold by Battlescooter) 3) Cockpit Extension The lowered seat will move you back an inch or two and down a couple inches. In my opinion, it makes things more comfortable for the upper half of your body because you're sitting more 'in' the scooter rather than 'on' it and you're more sheltered from the wind and less hunched forward. However, moving the seat back an inch or two does not make things more comfortable for your legs because this gain is more than negated by the lowered seating position. I would say it keeps your knees in a similar but slightly more bent position. The extension kit as sold by Battlescooter just extends the engine back which makes the Ruckus look different but it doesn't change the situation in the cockpit. The third option are the cockpit extension brackets as invented here: battlescooter.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=De&action=display&thread=1180940658These brackets are now being sold by someone I believe and they would give you the leg room you desire although doing this mod will mean dealing with a few issues like your floorboard not fitting right anymore and some cable extending/rerouting issues that you need to do. You can read about that at the link above.
