???I have an 04 Ruck with >10000 miles on it. I have changed the oile at most every 2000 miles. Are my motor bearings going to fiil soon or is this beyond conjecture? I ride a lot at full throttle and sometimes think I hear a slow wah-wah vibration which might be anything--i hope.

10,000+ miles is a lot but if you've really changed the oil every 200 miles that's pretty nuts so your odds of it lasting a lot longer are good. A bearing failure does often start with a faint whirring noise but there are also a lot of other things that whirl so realistically, you just need to keep riding it and you'll know when the bearings really get to serious state because the noise gets a lot louder and louder every ride. It should easily drown out the exhaust by the time their really bad.

I ride full throttle too, but if the oil is clean the bearings should be OK

as long as you change the oil every1,000 to 2,000..you should be fine..my step dad changes his oil in his ruck every 3,000 and he hasn't had no problems or noises yet/..he has 6,023 miles on it . not a problem and its all stock except for the variator and shock..

I meant 2000 miles, not 200 i modified the original post 2000 miles between oil changes is WAY too long! 600 miles between changes max. Motor oil is cheap, compared to bearing replacement.

Yeah, 5 bucks and 30 minutes every 600 miles is a small price to pay for peice of mind (and it's only that much 'cause I seem to keep up with my funnel).

3000 miles is a pretty darn long interval. That's only 2 oil changes in the Ruckus's life so far. 600 mile oil change is a good idea and doing them at 1000 miles is pretty much the max I could sleep at night with.
