Did this problem ever get resolved? I am hearing a similar noise from mine. On mine it is definitely related to speed but I'm not sure if its related to rpm. I will attempt to describe exactly what is going on. It does sound like it is coming from the kick starter area but that can be deceiving while you are riding. It makes a clicking/tapping sound that doesn't start until I reach about 25mph. As I continue to accelerate, the noise doesn't seem to get any faster but it goes away when I get to about 35mph. My Ruck is having similar problems. When I hit 30MPH I can hear a faint clicking coming from that area. It will "click" about once a second. I haven't noticed the sound at lower speeds but it may happen then too. I installed a variator maybe 700 miles ago using Dans variator tool. I took a look at the variator and everything seemed to be tight. I haven't loobed anything yet. Has anyone figured this thing out yet?! |

If it's not the valves then I can't think of what it is.... I can..... OMG something i think of that DD doesnt first. Pull off the belt cover, and see if your belt is whacking the bottom of the casing...... Mine does... for some stupid reason only at idle |

don't get too paranoid, as timber told me there should be a slight clicking sound as the revs increase, I've noticed it on my ruck before and after valve adjust.....
