Im curious to know, by saying warming up the engine, do you just let it idle for 2-3minutes and then go, or do you idle for 2-3 minutes, take it easy on the throttle, then ride normally (WOT) Because in my cars, even with the engine idling away for 5-10minutes, the thermometer is still at cold. Only after it has been driven for around 3-5 minutes will the needle rise. This brings me to the question if it would harm the engine if i just warm it up the engine by idling without being easy on the throttle right after.........

Chanito will have to answer this one but personally I let it idle for at least a minute, sometimes 5 and then I usually take it easy for the first 1-2min.

Idling an engine for a long period of time is a bad idea, as there is very little oil pressure, so lubrication to the head is very limited, the best way is to start the engine idle it for about 10 secs and then just ride normally for a couple of minutes so the oil system get rid of any air pocket and then you can have your fun, the advantage of such a small engine is that it is very hard for anyhot spot to develop as the water flow is very high
