Does anyone know how to fix it or why my ruck cannot start from a cold engine with just a push of the start button and brake engage? I need to roll on the throttle to start it all the time. When the engine is warm, the ruck starts up no problem.

Mine is like that also sometimes. Seems if I hold the brake in longer then it's ok instead of a quick push and let go. I'm not to worried about though.

Ooh! I better be careful what I say here. There may be an answer as to why it does this but I don't know it. Sometimes my bike will start great when cold and at times when it's warmed and vise versa. I have 37XX km on my bike now, you have 800 but mine has always been like this for as long as I can remember.
Anyway...I still think it's minor, every engine has it's little quirks. My buddy and I both have 400cc 2-stroke engines in our quads and mine starts up different than his, etc...for example.

If I understand correctlly you just need to give it a bit of gas to get it too start when it's cold? I'd say this is pretty normal....even my 2006 in nice conditions like a bit of extra gas....but you could improve it by turning up the idle a bit and also adjusting the idle mix. In the cold weather your carb can't vapourize the gas as easily so you end up running a bit lean and also the cold, dense air makes you even more lean so you need to give it a bit of extra fuel to get it to go. Turn the idle screw 1/2 turn or so making sure that it doesn't idle so high that your rear wheel engages to make it easier to start.

i mean in this canadian temperature around 30 degrees celsius with the ruck engine left over night, but usually for the week. I was just wondering if it has something wrong because in the owner's manual it says close the throttle then press start. Oh wells, its all good ;D

Ryoko usually needs a little gas to start if left sitting for more than a week. I don't think it's too uncommon.
