My rear wheel makes a kind of creaking noise when turning left and not on the gas. Is this the bearing, or the cvt transmission? I need to find out before my Warranty runs out, so if the bearing is bad I can get it fixed.

Mine doesn't do that but my rear wheel bearings are shot I am sure. I need to get it fixed but haven't found the time before the warranty is out.
My rear wheel wiggles a bit from side to side and it is on tight I think its the bearings because that's what it sounds like.

Have you checked the fluid level in the final drive?

My bearing was toast in 250mi. The only cure I'm aware of is a better shock. The drive is too weak for nutty pilots

How do i check the fluid in the final drive? Is it not a dry drive? I would like to check it. How do i do that.
And Yes I need a better rear shock, I ride My Ruck w/ my girlfriend, which I know is WAY over the weight limit, but oh well.

The drive has a fill hole/bolt on it. The fluid should be up to the hole and spill out if you tilt the scoot to the belt side. The fluid should be replaced if it's gross looking. I'll have to get busy and post the procedure on battlescooter. If you go to battlescooter on the drive tech page. Look on the 2nd picture- you can see a yellow dot on the far right of the picture. below that dot is a bolt- that's the fill/check hole/bolt to drain it you need to find the drain bolt- it's a bolt that holds the two halves if the final drive together-close to the bottom. sorry no pictures of that one- you can remove one bolt at a time and see if stuff comes out....one bolt at a time means- if no oil comes out screw it back in and tighten it BEFORE you remove another. hope this helps

What kind of fluid do I use? Is it oil, or transmission fluid, or Yoohoo?
I will try this and tell you how the yoohoo works out.

I just use generic chocolate milk. Don't waste your money ;D
If your store doesn't have chocolate milk use 10/40 motorcycle oil. Motorcycle oil will last longer than auto oil.

Hey, so oil? Bill Cosbey called and he said he wants his yoohoo joke back.
I wonder though? If mine is low, where did it go?
Hey, and so I use oil?

I doubt it's low. It could have water in it or too much dirt If the oil has water in it you'll think it looks like Yoohoo

Ok I think it is the bearing. My rear wheel has a tiny bit of side-to-side play in it. About 2mm or so. The bolt is on there tight, so does that mean its my bearing?
If I take in for a warranty exchange, are they gonna ask me if I have had it serviced? If so, what do I say to get them to do it?

Wouldn't you just have them replaces the bearings?

I need to find out before my Warranty runs out, so if the bearing is bad I can get it fixed. Are you sure you have the axle bolt torqued properly? My real wheel appeared to be tight, had alittle play. I found out the torque specs are over 80 foot lbs (i think) for the rear. I re-torqued. good to go !

My drive is real loose. I think it's from all the hard times it's been through.
One thing that happened is the counter shaft and gear was very worn. The counter shaft gear just slips on the shaft and if the splines get worn the gear can rock. Since the teeth on the gear are at an angle it will make lots of noise if it can rock side to side. You can get an upgraded counter gear assembly but it may be best to get new OEM parts and weld them together.
The drive shaft has teeth that ride on the counter shaft gear and if the bearing gets too loose the noise just gets worse.
The best solution may just be a loud exhaust. Honda designed it this way, I wish the drive would stay tight and quite after some trashing though.
