Hi All - New to the forum and to the Ruck! Just purchased a 2011 with 4000 miles. Almost completely stock. Because I don't know for sure about the previous owners (2) maintenance habits, I want to cover all of the bases up front. New spark plug, oil change, air filter, gear oil change - does that cover it? One question is -after reading a ton of these threads, it looks like you are supposed to fill both the oil (.6L) and gear oil (.1L) until they begin to seep out of the fill hole. My question: do you mean when it's on the kickstand or on the ground? Any other suggestions for things for a new owner to check/change right away would be helpful! BTW - if it matters, I am in the Northeast - so it will be ridden in cold temps quite a bit (mostly short hops of less than a mile at a time). Also - considering using Mobil 1 0w40 because of the single digit mornings. Anyone see a problem with that? Thanks in advance!

All the fluid checks are with the scooter on its stand (rear wheel off the ground). Engine oil is 0.6 lts and it supposed to just get in the crosshatch section on the dipstick, if oil comes out of the fill hole, you put too much. Your choice of oil is OK

Thanks Chanito. I appreciate it! Anything I am missing in terms of maintenance I should consider as a new owner with no idea what what was done previously?
