Small problem came up yesterday: I rolled forward with my U-lock still on the front wheel. I know...very funny. But dumb. Broke my speedo cable core. In BC we have a auto parts supplier...Lordco. Probably the same as any other auto parts supplier shop anywhere. I went to Lordco and bought a generic cable core - $10. It was a snap to cut to the right length, put in the speedo cable and attach cable back to wheel hub and speedo. Works great. Took 15 minutes. I just wanted to report to everyone that if you happen to "break" your speedo cable, don't panic... the repair is very easy.
