Alright guys, so i woke up yesterday morning and walked out to my ruck, went to put the key in and felt that someone had tried to jam a flathead in it and do the old school style hotwire job, which didnt work out for them because...well...they suck ....just wondering after I replace my ignition that was destroyed after their failed attempt what would be the best theft deterrent out there I can do, I dont have a garage so I gotta keep it as close to my house as possible, any advide would be great...

Probably a huge chain that goes thru the chasis, it will make them look for an easier target

After the theft of one one of my Rucks I went online in search of a GPS unit. I found the zoombak locator, which has online support and also an app for my smart phone to track and send text msgs when my ruck leaves the "safe zone", just a little over $100 for the kit and a yearly fee of $179, which is under $20 a month for peace of mind, has to be charged every 4 days, there might be better options out there, but this is what I went with, plus just ordered stickers saying my Ruck has GPS, people might just think its BS, but go ahead and find out

Or I guess you could just fake it and buy a sticker saying you have a GPS like people do with ADT on their houses, maybe thieves will think twice

Hit a local sports store and pick up a Bell "U" shape bicycle lock bar. This fits through the rear spokes of the tire once locked prevents the rear wheel from rolling without locking up. Also this fits perfect under the seat through the stock loops and holds in place where the stock flash light holder is located.

I don't know if they have these for a ruckus, but I can't imagine it would be too difficult to do, but I have seen replacement ignition key/locksets for motorcycles that use the round "bicycle lock" style keys. Not terribly obvious, but makes it more of a pain to jam a screw driver in there.
