Just bought my first Ruckus yesterday and will pick it up this weekend. It's a black 2012.
I have never owned anything other than a car or SUV and the sole purpose of this purchase is to save on gas. Hopefully it's as fun to drive as the demo I tried at the dealership.
I had no idea there was this big of a following for these scooters... I went into the place looking for a cheap used motorcycle... and walked out with a brand new scooter. heh - couldn't walk away from 114 mpg...
My biggest concern is the top speed because there is about 2 miles of my daily commute where the speed limit is 60mph. That's going to be scary, I think.
Anyhow, can't wait to ride it and hope that I can use it everyday in all weather.

Thanks! I'll try... actually thinking about taking a longer route just to avoid it.

Hey Hap I paid $2400 for a black 2012 ruckus at a Rochester Motor Sports in NH. I went to two other dealers, one in Maine and one in NH but after getting jerked around I went to Rochester Motor Sports and they were awsome. They were cool with the fact that I ordered a red and white but fell I love with the black one when we got there.

You might wanna be careful regardless of 60, I dont know about NH law but here in maryland you cant take any 50cc and under scooter on any road where the speed limit is above 50, even if its tagged or whatever, me and a few buddies found this out the hard way, you might wanna check your state laws....safe riding
