So, it finally happened. After almost 7 years, I finally got pulled for speeding on my Ruckus. No, I wasn't exceeding the posted speed limit, I was just doing more than a "moped" is supposed to do. I figure the state trooper was just bored, and thought maybe he could run my scooter for theivery or me for any outstanding warrants. At least he was cool about it, just asked me to keep it under 30.
You guys are trying to make your Rucks go faster, mine's already too fast! ;D

a few years back i was borrowign the rukus i now own from a buddy since my car was dead and i was broke and i was on my way to the job i just got laid off from to turn in my uniforms and get my check. it was rainign and cold in mid november. i was taking the back roads for once and i didnt see the school zone flashign lights behind the tree since my glasses were water spotty from the rain and i didnt "make a complete stop" so i got pulled over and the cop who then began questioning me on how the scooter was street legal and so for 30 mins i stood in the rain whilst he sat in the car waiting for another cop to come wiht the newest code book to make sure it was legal to drive and to find out if i needed a motorcycle licence to drive one. as it turns out the law was just passed a month befor that 50cc and higher requires a motor cycle license.. the cop was cool tho he only ticketed me for no motor cycle license and failure to stop and let the school zone slide since i was wet and my glasses were liek a windshiled with no wipers.. the best part is is after goign to talk to the judge adn gettign things paid up it was not on my record. now i just hav the embarrassing tell of getting pulled over on a 50 cc scooter

Hmm.. yes it does here i got pulled over liek 4 months after the law changed i was kinda "edit profanity" about it but after i wnet to court and paid off the ticket it never ended up on my record so i am fine with that |

Then he went back to my friend who was waiting for me around the corner on a ninja 250 who was doing like 23mph and yelled at him saying that he deserved a ticket.  |

In Maryland you can ride on roads upto 50mph, but you aren't allowed to go more than 30mph on a scooter. Tell me how that's safe?!?!
I can see it now.... Yes officer, I understand I was doing 31mph, but everyone around me is doing 60!!
I've been pulled over 4 times on 50 mph roads. I printed the law from the website that says I can ride 50mph roads and put a few copies in my backpack. "Accidentally" cut-off the part where I'm not supposed to do more than 30.....

Every officer can't remember every law verbatim, so I help them out a little |

ya when i got pulled over a few years ago the cop had to hav another cop bring the new updated law book to check and see f it was even street legal cause he didnt believe that the plates belonged on te scooter... so i stood in the rain across from a school while parents were droppign their kids off and everyoen starign at the guy who got pulled over on a scooter.... it was pretty cool
