:'(So this accident have put a lock on the project, but since i am still having a middle age crisis and i do want to build a car badly, i have to lower my goals, now i am going to build a cyclekart (you can google it to see what they look like) they are a plywood and metal go kart that looks like a 20's formula car, with any luck they should be easier to make that my last project, and if everything goes according to plan i will make a thread here with pics of the build. If by the time i finish it i have not sold Katrina, i will then start on a project i came up when i was having all those pain killer induced trips, and i will turn her into a three wheeler, with two in front and one in the rear, i have a bunch of bad drawings i did, so i will get someone to do some nice ones and post them to get your opinion on them, i would love to do it so i can go to the fall ride with it "the scooter Phoenix" as there will be no reason for my wife to oppose to my riding again OK this is how they look like And this is the car i will try to have mine looks like. It is a race car fron Jaguar before it was Jaguar and it is called SS100 old number 8

How about some more pics of your daughter? You need some cordless tools brother, that extension cord is going to kill your range.

I got the steel for the side beams and the front axle, but since is going to be a while until i get the wheels and tires and needed to get the location of the axles. i made some cardboard wheels and got to check where should the beam be located, on this first try, the body looks way high so i had to raise the position of the beam, this one is more to my liking then i market the position of the beam on the side of the monocoque now i just have to get a template of the front axle and have it fabricated, but so far this is the look of it epoxied and bolt together

Is time for another update, i went down to the metal store and got the steel beam for the side and the square tubing for the front axle, the front axle took some time to fabricate as that is something i have never done and i want it to get it right the first time, i did some cardboard templates and got to cut and fit the steel to the templates after i was done with the cutting and fitting it was time to tack weld it Then to weld we go, my friend the welder is showing the axle another look Now some painting After the paint dried i mock it up to the monocoque and it looks good "so far" As a father day present i got the front springs, they are tiny, here i put it to the mock up of the tire i did earlier, just to get an idea of the size Awesome! now to modify it to work on my cycle-kart , the reinforcement had to go Also the slider end was really rough, and since that is something that will show on the car i had to smooth it out Here they are after i introduce them to my grinder Removing the reinforcements give me a wonderful place to attach the front axle Here is one ready for paint next i will need to install the spring to the beams and then the beams to the monocoque and i should have something that looks more like the car i want
