Not much going on here , I guess because there aren't a lot of Big Ruskus scooters ? Any way I just got a 2006 with 700 miles on it , lucky me . The problem I'm having is the scooter bogs off the line if I accelerate a little to quickly . Is this common with these or is there some thing wrong with mine . I hope I get a response , even if it doesn't help LOL .

Could probably stand a good carb cleaning, and maybe a spark plug clean and gap (or replace). My advice, as much as I'd like more Big Rucksters to post here, since it doesn't seem to be happening, is to look for a forum with Honda Reflex owners, since that's the same powertrain as the Big Ruckus. Good luck, and

I just bought a 2005 BR with 1100 miles ($4455) and was/am experiencing the same problem. This weekend I replaced the stock air filter with a K&N filter ($53 on-line) and spark plug (the old one looked fine). There is still a bit of a lag if I give it too much gas too soon but it is much better now. I plan to dink with the carburetor jets at some point.

Mine acted the same way- that's why they never have any miles on 'em when you see 'em used- Most guys who figure that bug out, keep theirs- like me. I ride mine like I stole it- 14,000 miles so far. It's going to get better soon. It lasted 1000- 1200 miles on mine, and when I fry the clutch I'll upgrade to a performance clutch.
