Hello, I just picked up a used BR with high miles (17,000). I drove it for the first time after fixing the exhaust leak (as pointed to in many postings). I noticed as I let off the throttle a popping noise was heard, not real loud just enough. Any ideas?
I also replaced my tires rear Mich Pilot city 140/70-12 and a front Mich. Gold. Will I have problems with diff tread design?
I hope to give some good performance tips in the near future on this site, because I bought a full chassis dyno that my scooter will fit on to to make changes to exhaust etc to see if I can better the performance. I will be looking for input to try different things. Thanks in advance from a new member Tom in Sunny San Diego

I have a (relativly) brand new br and it also pops when i let up on the throttle. Its normal; its what big bikes do. You ever listen to a 750 cruse by? With out a catalytic converter the extra fuel/air mix that gets pulled in during the 5th cycle and doesnt get blown out by the high exaust flow will explode in the pipe when you let off the gas. Its not harmful as long as its only a small pop.

its your drive belt
also change final drive oil
provided you performed copper wire exhaust mod on top of new muffler gasket.
