ok people i got some questions... Im finally doing my frame extension, following varroa post, i even bought a similar size tube. (or thats what i though) did a perfect angle and the result is 6.5 inches of extension. My concern is if its safe or if should i get a smaller size of tube? I couldnt find the rectangular tube so i got a U shaped tube 3/16 thick but its thicker on the corners. Should i weld another piece of the same metal to make it a complete rectangle or is it strong enuf like that? I ve askd several people and they say its fine. I got a mountain bike handle bar, im still goin to need longer cables? Thanks in advance

I think it will hold but don't be hard on it, personally I would weld an other plate to complete the rectangle

I would definitely box it. I think it will hold the way it is, but will add a lot of flex which could cause metal fatigue and a bouncy feel.
On to the cables. With lower bars you should be able to reroute the cables to get that little extra. And if you're having a hard time you could go for the drag bike look and use narrow bars. It could be really hot. I haven't seen anybody with them yet.

Just about any flat bars with 2" cut from both ends. I'm having a hard time finding pics, but I'll keep looking.

;D great job with the extension work, if the ruckus had two springs/shocks in the back i would leave it like that, but since it has a swing arm with one shock i would box the extensions to prevent flexing under cornering and braking ;D

firegut: my bar is not even flat and the throttle line hits the turn signal. How do you fix this having a flat one?
Chanito thanks for the comment, and i didnt noticed any flex or something weird when i rode my ruck, but i did saw 1 side flex when i took off the one on the other side.

Move your markers to the reflector mounts on the light rack or to the battery box. Then, shave the old mounts. I'm pretty sure that there's a how-to. Chanito thanks for the comment, and i didnt noticed any flex or something weird when i rode my ruck, but i did saw 1 side flex when i took off the one on the other side. The ruckus frames flexes a surprising amount. I've heard over and over that when you install a chin bone you really feel the new stiffness.

did you need to get new hoses or are stock long enough (that is a 4 inch c channel theres no way in hell you can break that we used that for a skid loader and it didnt break so how is it going to break on a 200 lb ruckus
