Whenever I have a passenger and we hit a bump they think my tires are low...because of the rather, what I think, weak suspension on the rear shock. Does anyone know if I can replace it with something more robust? I plan on some long treks in the future...and it would be nice to have a tougher shock when I have the back all loeded up with gear.

Wow, with 21 posts I figured you'd have heard someone praising the aftermarket rear shocks by now. Anyways, the aftermarket shocks are a big improvement and some say they are the best mod you can make to your Ruckus. You can get some really good ones in different colours from the battlescooterstore.com or you can get one in chrome also from there but it's only 90% as good (still way better than stock).
jiangwayne.com/scooter also sells a rear shock for the Ruckus and he's based out of vancouver. I think it's pretty good to so go compare prices and style.

Yes, well excuse my ignorance..but both those sites do NOT list any such shock for the Big Ruckus. Am I too assume the shock on the small ruckus is the same? I wouldn't assume that at all....But if you COULD steer me to a specific shock for my model..it would be very helpful..lol.

Sorry for coming across sounding rude there. My apologies. Also, I must also apologize because I check this site so often that I simply go to the 10 most recent posts when I log on so I didn't notice your question was in the big ruckus section of the forum. Your question is very legit and so much so that I don't know the answer at all. Sorry and my apologies.

Has, anyone measured the stock shock for length of travel, and mounting points? Seems that should be enough for a good shop to figure what shock would work.
