Just joined. Have put almost 200 miles on it in a little over a week. Love it. But can't find a windshield for it. Used to have a Helix until I was run over from behind. Kind of enjoy a windshield. Any ideas where I can get one. I saw a picture of Teshlu's bike and thought it looked neat. Thanks

I have the big 24x24 on my lil Ruck and LOVE it. You can get it a bit cheaper from TRAX motorsports and you'll want to have a second set of hardware to firm it up. The mounting they provide grabs the bottom of the 2-posts that run verticaly and it's pretty solid. I had another set of handle bar clamps (from another winsheild) that allowed me to grab the verticals bout halfway up and nows it's as solid as my old harley bagger's sheild was. It's an excellent quality sheild 3/16" plexi with a nice forward flip on the top edge. I've looked at many offerings and slip-streams offer the most for your money. ;D

Has the mileage increased with the use of the windsheild? I, figure it's a smoother cut through the air; rather than, the bulky irregular shape of the rider. Does the windsheild cover the hand grips, would be nice to block the wind there.

Mileage has not increased, it has gone down 5 MPG to 70--still very respectable. And it sort of covers the hands, you still get a little wind on the hands but not much. I also have the 24 X 24 Slipstreamer. It works well but has a little gap at the bottom where wind can get under. But it is very stable at speed. So far I have had it to 60 with absolutely no vibration or shimmy

I mounted mine on the bottom of the handlebars, right above the mounting curve. Where it sits now, it will just clear the top of the frame in front. It has a gap at the bottom where wind comes in, but it sits up high enough to block the wind in my face. It is nice and solid too. As soon as I take a picture, I'll send it. I only used the stock 2 mounts that came with the windshield. As of now, I'm not gonna put any more, it is solid enough for me. I also used loctite in all the setscrews.

Palletman, thanx for the reply, a pic would make it clearer. If you need help posting a pic let me know. I also had a Helix and rode it for 17 trouble free years and it was in such fantastic condition that I sold it for more than I bought it for (new) in 1986. I was really used to the protection of the windshield: also had a full shield on my Valk. So now I am goint to mount the shield on the PS250. If I ever sell the Big Ruck I will replace it with a Silverwing. I considered a Burgman 650 almost bought it and then after doing a lot of net research it turns out to have lots of tech problems and customer service at least as crappy as Honda so I will stick with Honda as in 17 yrs I never put a wrench to the Helix (or to the valk in 8 yrs) Neither of these bikes ever saw the inside of as dealership after they were delivered)

Tedsmini, I'm starting to feel the same about dealer service. Had a Gold Wing GL-1000 in, 1980; factory rep was terrible. I, didn't own a Honda; until this recent purchase of a, Big Ruckus. 25 years is a long time to get service up to par; it, hasn't happened, YET. My first 600 mile checkup was a disaster. The list of symptoms that I handed them was ignored and only two of the four problems were recorde and checked; but, not corrected. I'm glad I didn't go for the extended warranty; with service costing so much and not being done CORRECTLY, who needs that kind of "service"?

I guess the only reason I do buy extended warranties is for resale value and the possible catastrophic failure (eng, elec or transmission) Chanito: that pic was in the summertime, I don't put on long pants until the first frost

tedsmini, i also have a Slipstreamer on my BG and i posted a picture at " My Big Ruckus Is Just Great". I mounted it on the frame just below the signal lights and it fits very nicely at just the right height.
