Hope this doesn't infringe on any copyrights This was part of an article comparing a handful of bike under $7000. Not surprisingly, they didn't have a much good to say about our scooter compared to their 600cc plus size bikes. Chuck

They keep comparing our rides to either more expensive or bigger bikes, lets see it again some 250s from across the pond, just try off roading with Vespa or piaggio

What do they mean by "Wooden Brakes"? Also I've noticed that critics aren't taking the Big Ruck to kindly, but 99 percent of the people who actually own it love it. Think it's because when they ride it they keep forgetting that it's a scooter?

The brakes on both Rucki, little and big are marginal at terminal speeds. The Big one needs another disc at anything over 55MPH. It will stop from 65 but you need to really anticipate. People who are hopping up the little one to do over 50mph are really tempting fate

I disagree with Tedsmini, we have drum brakes in the little ruckus, with a big friction area, so they stop ok even at 40+, the problem is in "my opinion" the lack of hydrolics, i weight 225 lbs (102 kilos) and my ruckus goes 42 mph, a couple of times i had to make panic stops, and you have to use a lot of force to clamp those brakes levers, so a hydrolic system should make the force requirement lower

I would have liked disc in the rear and another disc up front and an air shock in rear (and a second shock as is listed in spec sheet) and a beefier front fork. You can compensate for the wooden brakes by opening the distance to the vehicle in front.
Have had many favorable comments from, Hardly Driven riders. Only one bad one from a local artist with a bad attitude about EVERYTHING. So far I like mine. Making some changes to lighting system (one brake lamp is SCARY); but the 400 watt alternator will allow some upgrading of lighting. Now, if only a sound system were available.

The only thing the Bug Guy had in common with those other bikes was price. Too bad they didn't have a more objective reporter.
