hey lowpez, i've had a slice on the side and tread for about a month. it's like a half circle kinda thing. anyway it's not real deep but i'm going down to "scoot to the moon VI" and don't wanna take a chance on the freeway. anyway, after an extensive search, a guy fron irc tires sent me a link to a tire co. in Dayton Ohio--they had 3 left, soit's on the way. it's pretty cheap--42.14 including shipping(15.00). it's a chin chin(sp?)--never heard of it, but i'll try. i'll post the website later. Honda really blew it on this one!!!

hey lopez--i'm a little tire problem phobic anyway, but i check them before every ride--o.k and sometimes at stoplights too (: funny thing is when i was at a local scooter shop(first kick scooters) the guy was looking at my bike and the first thing he did was jot down the tire size and order a set. now why wasn't honda proactive that way? at any rate this was over 3 months ago and the tire is due in aug. 12th. it won't be the stock tire, but at least we'll have the right size in a quality tire.

Try a good after market cycle shop that deals in motorcycl tires. Parts Unlimited, had Pirelli street tires for $35 each. They also list other brands and dual sport tires from IR the same manufacturer that Honda carries. Mounting was only, $20 for the front tire (on the bike) and the rear was $30 (also on the bike). Much cheaper and less work than the local dealer who quoted me, $140 per tire and $25 mounting for each if, I took them off and remounted them. I'm in, Pittsburgh and the shop that I went to is, Cycle Service Center near, South Park.
