I just found this site, and wanted to say hey. Yesterday, i was in the cycle shop, and saw the Big Ruckus for the first time. Man, I think it's cool. I've been riding for 28 years now, and ride a Kawasaki Meanstreak 1600cc. After one look at the Big Ruckus, i'm ready to get one. Something about it has me hooked. It's the "scooter on steroids" appearance that got me. Did HUMMER design this one, or what ? I can't wait to see the look on my riding friends faces when they see me cruising at highway speed on this thing. My main question is, will i be happy with it? Any issues with the small tires ? What about 2-up riding on it ? Roomy enough ? Enough power ? I appreciate your replies. Thanks, and ride safe. - J.R.

Welcome to the board J.R!
I can't answer any of your questions cause I ride the little Ruck, but I would think that going from 1600cc to 250cc might be quite a shock!

well if your use to a 1600cc bike, this is around 249cc so thats a huge difference, but what do I know, the biggest ive ridden is the ruckus

Welcome to the forum. I have both Rucki, little and big. I rode (until wed when I sold it) a Honda Valkyrie. There is no comedown in riding fun. As the 250 breaks in it's acceleration increases and it really gets with the program. After 55mph the brakes are just OK. It's easy to handle, light and very nimble. It gets 67mpg and I weigh 248lbs. I have not ridden 2 up so no report on that phase. At 67mph I really felt that I didn't want to go any faster. I have put 600 miles on it and am considering using synthetic oil in at the change.

Thanks for your replies. I'm keeping the Meanie, and thought the Big Ruckus looked like a great toy to turn heads with. Anyone ever take a long trip on one ? How is it on hills ? Howabout maintenance, and servicing ? Would a Napalm tank fit on the back with the seat up ? j/k - J.R.(Al)

I think you're going to like the PS250. It has a comfortable cruising speed and carves corners better then a lot od sport bikes. You will find that you can't snap your neck with acceleration out of turns but if you're cruising in the 55-65 range you do have the power to safely pass. I've now got 3200+ miles on mine and have had no problems, only smiles and yes it is a real conversation starter.

Range is not a problem, I got to 210 before the tank ran dry. Last tankful 66mpg and now I need to change the oil and am going to try Amsoil synthetic and see if the mileage increases. By the way the 66mpg was all into headwinds, no windshield and mostly 55MPH. It's working out as a fun bike
