Hello,
So, it seems that the Honda site states:
"Single-side swingarm with dual hydraulic shocks with seven-position spring-preload adjustability; 4.7-inch travel"
bull crap ....
Looks like i have to get an aftermarket shock to have this position adjustment?
I just want the thing to not bottom out ... sure .. I'm jumping it ... but still ... anyone have any clues?
Much Appreciated.

Ok .... so now this is getting out of hand I just wanted to get a better shock on this thing, it fishes too much ... even with a high psi on the tires. tedsmini = A few bike friends were the ones to alert me to the honda specs .... figures, Honda is behind on their own info ... good stuff ;D Anyone know of the exact specs on this shock? ... the adjustments would have been great to have in this situation ...... and now i have to go complete aftermarket to get this? ... kinda lame. The shop just says "good luck ... you find a shock ... we'll stick it on" ...

Once "WE" find a shock (the search is on) you don't need to pay anyone to mount it. It might take a few wrenches and that's it. When I mounted the chrome shock on my little Ruck I practically had to dissassemble the entire bike. Air box, floorpan, battery box and a zillion bolts

Hi Gary, I'm off to Honda Hoot this morning and one of the things on my to do list is get a little time with some Honda suit and ask them where I can get my adjustable shock. Let you know the results so just stay on your diet and hope for a better shock.,

You're right once again Gary. I was the only Big Ruckus at the 'Hoot and the only response I got to inquiries about the rear shock were blank looks and a few "huh?"
There may be a few BRs showing up soon as everytime I went to the demo area it was out on a ride. the demo ride was 28 miles so it should have been enuf to sell them completely or scare them away for ever.
Not to sound like a traitor but I did take a long demo on a Vespa 200GT , what a sweet ride it was. That engine will be the standard by which all singles should be judged. I thought I was on a turbine powered machine. Soooooo smooth

Hmm, the vespa sounds cool. Traitor. You might as well have kicked my ruckus in the gonads. Just kidding! My question is can you strap bungee's to a vespa body. No, didn't think so. LOL.

I have the spec sheet for the BR and it states, dual shock w/adjustments. LIES, LIES, and MORE LIES. I'm hoping the 400 watt alternator statement is true. Does anyone know any different? I'm hoping for an aftermarket air shock for the single shock. Have one on my, BMW K75s and it is SWEET. Would like to beef up the BR's front forks a bit also. Has anyone seen an after market kit for this type of project? Not that I'm not happy with stock; but, would like a more robust suspension. Making it into a two wheeled hummer/bummer is my idea of a great scooter. Stay tuned.
