Gyro's are bad. Ya know why? The frame pivots you like your on a bike, but keeps you upright like a gyro.

My freind's wife has one of these they use @ thier summer home. Every time they get it serviced the dealer offers to buy it. Seems like people either love it or hate it. Looks like a cool toy to me.

I don't see why you don't to register with eBay. You don't even need to give your credit card number. All you need is an email address and a username/password. Anyways, eBay contracts are legally binding so the seller is not allowed to sell it outside of the auction unless he says so in the description or the item doesn't sell. Just ask a friend with an ebay account to bid for you.

tedsmini, you haven't won the bidding yet! 2 days and 22 minutes left. I'd say in 2 days before bidding is up check again to see if you have the winning bid or if someones out bid you! Ebay is always the most interesting in the last 7 minutes of a auction.

I always bid in the last 15sec so that people don't have a chance to consider whether they want to upbid me. If their max is 45$ and I go 50$ I'll get if I throw it in at the last second but if they have a day to go 'well it's only a few more dollars' then they often up you. Ebay is just so addictive.
Once I wanted to bid on a digital camera and my max bid was 500$ and the bidding was at 410$. However I couldn't be there when the auction ended so I had to bid 2 hrs before. The guy with the 410$ bid rebid 430$ (so I had it at 435$) then he rebid 450$ and then 470$ so I ended up winning it for 475$. If I had of been able to sneak my bid in he may have naively been comfortable with his 410$ bid and I could have had it for 415$. It doesn't always work but I like to give away as little info as possible.

Tyger, just sold my big valk and always wanted on of these freaky little bikes. Wouldn't it cost you a lot to get it shipped to where you are and a bunch for all the silly customs and taxes you have to pay? I will probably be outbid and I'm not going to get into auction frenzy

Here's another ebay tip: If buyer A comes and bids 20$ on an auction with a starting bid of say 10$ then he'll be leading the bidding with a 10$ bid. If you come along and bid 12$ he'll be leading the bidding with 13$. However, if you come along and also bid 20$ then he'll still lead the bidding but with a bid of 20$ instead of 21$ cuz 20$ is his max and he bid it first.
This is really important because if I am selling something and I want to get the highest price for it I can go on ebay with another account and slowly bid up until I notice that the leading bidder is winning the auction with the same bid as my max which I can conclude is his max bid. This is one way to get the most $$$ for your auctions and another good reason to bid at the last second.

I've honestly never done it. I've actually only sold one thing on ebay ever. I just think about stuff like that because I'm always looking for flaws/loopholes in things so it doesn't happen to me. It is a good reason not to bid early though.
Also, I doesn't always work. With the above example with the 20$ max bid, if I go 12$, he'll go 13$ if I go 14$ he'll go 15$ ........I go 18$, he goes 19$, I go 20$ he goes 20$ and voila! However, you only have a 50% chance of that happening. If you go, say 13$, he goes 14$......you go 19$, he goes 20$ then you go 21$ and suddenly you've outbid your top bidder. You couldn't have bid 20$ because you already bid 19$ and thus he went 20$. Ebay will make you go 21$.
As you can see you've got a 50% chance of it working because 1/2 the time you'll bid the increment right under his max so he'll bid his max and you won't know it. However, much more common I'm sure, is the seller just bidding it up a bit. If you aren't happy with what it's going to sell for, you can't lose as a seller by bidding it up (unless you're caught) because either you get more money for it or it doesn't sell which is fine with you because the price was too low. Just some food for thought....
