Not a scooter, but what the hey.
Somebody has got to help me out, here...
I'm looking for information on a bike called a Speedway, I think that's the brand, don't know otherwise. My father had one in 1972, him and like 2 of his cousins had one. It was a street legal bike, 14 inch wheels, had a Tecumsah motor, I think it was maybe slightly faster than a Ruckus.
Dad, having seen me enjoying my Ruckus, has started to reminisce about his old bike. Mom seems to think there was another model called the Widowmaker, that she liked (this was right before they got married).
I've found some pages that list a Speedway minibike, that looks like it, but the fuel tank is different. If anyone can find any info or knows anything about a "Speedway" bike from the early 70s or perhaps late 60s, I'd be much appreciative. Thanks.

Apparently, it looked like this (except his was green) It was street legal, cause he had it tagged.

You could almost make that from scratch.
I always wanted a mini-bike when I was a kid. The Speedway looks like a good collector piece.
