The dealer is cutting me a fairly good deal on the '05 Suzuki Burgman. I rode it today on the freeway and it went from 20 to 80 before I could reign it in. The wind is fierce at 80 and the shield doesn't do a good job it was designed for people under 6'. Givi makes an oversized shield so that should cure the wind problem. It can be ridden as an auto, real gear driven trans electronically controlled as in today's cars, but you can lock it in manual and shift the 6 gears by button like today's funny car racers. Using this mode and the power button which richens the mixture and does someting about valve lift duration...real space age and it's a rocket, 3 large disc brakes with dual pistons, 15" front wheel and 14" rear. I might have to get it, I don't think I can resist

Looks like a comfortable ride. The design looks dangerously close to a motorcycle. If it wasn't for that tiny cutout in front of the seat you'd have a hard time saying it's a scooter (not that it really matters). When I took my motorcycle test another guy there had one and we were checking out each others rides. He really liked his Burgman...the underseat storage is really nice. That power mode sounds like my kinda thing too.

A buddy of mine is thinking of parking his Goldwing for one. He's been riding bikes for longer than I've been alive and has rode more bike than I can imagine and he loves the Burg650. He's just trying to think of a way of convincing the wife! LOL! His only complant was the digital instraments. He'd rather analog.

Well, Teds, you get that, and you can always give me the Big Ruckus, and write it off your taxes as a gift to a friend.
