Ok so the wife wants to ride w/ me now that I have a new Ruckus. So I get her old PA50 out and try to get it running for her. After peddling my "edit profanity" off for like a couple days it starts. Cool we let it warm up for 15-20 mins and she hops on and away she goes. 1/2 block later it stalls out and we push it home. New plug, fuel, fuel line cleaned carb and damn thing won't run for more than 12 seconds now. So I have cut my fingers and bruised my nuckles on this thing for 2 days and am "edit profanity". We go shopping for a new scooter. Nobody has anything used and our Honda dsealer has no more rucki and aren't ordering any until June. So my wife is now the proud owner of a new 2003 Legend getaway 50. Anyone know anything about these? I know its going back to the dealers this week cause the electric start doesn't start it, it just winds out.

I did a search for "2003 Legend getaway 50" on google and yahoo and the only thing I came up with was one of those mobility old people scooters. You sure you have the right name and model number?

legend-motorcycles.comI have looked at their website but it is pretty basic stuff on there. I was wondering if anyone else had heard of these or knew anything about them. When I checked their find a dealer links I see they are currently only avalable in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana unless you ge a dealership to send you one. EDIT: Link fixed by Fox.

Totally kewl looking scoots. Seems like they are being imported into Michigan as that's where all the dealers seem to be. How much was it and what's the top speed?

The spring on the bendix drive on the starter is hung up or the gear is stuck on the spiral that raises it up to engage the ring gear. Just finished pulling the same problem off a Mercury outboard and it will go to the rebuilders tomorrow.

Thanks for the fix Fox.
From what I was told at the dealer they are shipped here from Japan and the assembly plant is in Lincon Park. It was 1300 plus tax. The speedo says it goes 40 but it doesn't keep up w/ my Ruckus except down hill.
