My brother just bought a mid 80's Honda NH80 (I think it's called an Aero or a Mascot) from a friend of my dads for 800$Can in pretty mint shape. It'll be sweet cuz now we can cruise together. The NH80 is a 80cc 2 stroke but it only goes 65km/hr (40mph) so I'll have no problems cruising with him. It seems to me that his engine must not be working up to it's full potential but 65km/hr is the top speed on everyones NH80 apparently (I did some web research). One person said they did little more than change the exhaust and play with the carb and they were going 90km/hr. Does anyone know if the NH80 is electronically restricted some how?
Anyways...it'll be great cruising to the beach this summer....we'll get all the babes! Especially him cuz he can seat two a bit more confortably than me.

Most 2 strokes are restricted by airflow. I had a Spree that would dust the Ruckus and all it had was a custom airbox. Visit www.myscoot.com I'm pretty sure I remember reading about the Aero.

Anyone know what size of roller weights this thing takes? My bro needs new ones but they're like 17-19mm by about 15.

You could probably get more speed out of it by removing most of the air filter foam if it is enclosed under the seat or something. Chances of dirt entering are very low and the increased airflow will give it some some speed.
Id also pull the exhaust and look at it. How restricting is it for the exhaust flow? If it isnt very wide, use a dremel or something to sand/grind down the pipe for better flow or look for an aftermarket exhaust. On a 2 stroke, something like an aftermarket pipe can give huge HP increases, the previous owner (who was an auto mechanic) had my modded CR250 dynoed with the stock pipe and then with an aftermarket FMF pipe and it got almost 4.5 HP over stock with the aftermarket...
