They have been selling the dream 50r in japan for a few years. It's a race only bike for america though. Honda is starting to realize that the American market suck, hence the ruckus, ps250, drean 50, and the nsr50 being sold here. Slowly americans are getting good taste. Thanks Honda.

Whats to stop you from adding lights to make it street legal and registering it?

The bike will give them R&D feedback for improving future consumer products. By releasing them to the public they will get feedback faster than just what they learn in the shop. Many mfgs do this I know GM put it 5 cylinder engine they use in the Colorado out to small engine Baja racers for 5 years for durability testing before it ever made it into one of their trucks. They figure if it hold up to that kind of abuse then we can't hurt it too bad.

I guess you could put lights on one, but in californy you can't, because it's a 2-stroke. There was a guy here in the US that was selling them a few years ago, but I couldn't find his site. I'd rather have a gb250, cb400ss, or a sr400 though.

Here they were selling the retro racer looking 50cc 4 stroke, and a street legal kit, but they were expensive (more than the big ruckus) however i am still thinking i should have gotten it, it look so much fun

Yeah, I don't see why the four-stroke couldn't be registersed in California. But, the state recently passed a law where you can't register a dirt-bike for the street- like a motard bike. Too, bad it's not cheaper though. I t would be a good club racer.

oh man, i just found out that the euro zoomer are fuel injected and 4 valves!!! wow i want one of those engines, makes life so much better, especially since i think you don't need to jet the stupid carbs everytime you make a mod! I always want to get an exhaust but when i look at the complicity of jetting the carb JUST TO SWITCh the exhaust, it completely blows away my dream!

i wonder if the euro engines would respond better and have higher top speed, with a cleaner fuel injection and 4 valves...
