Have you guys seen the next scooter from the same design team that brought us the Ruckus? They have a link to it on BattleScooter.com but it is the Japanese site, here is the English one. world.honda.com/Tokyo2003/motor/lineup/2seater/ps250/index.htmlWe need to get Honda to bring it to this side of the pond. How do we do that?

The PS-250 is a prototype for the car shows. May or may not ever see production. frosty

I am hopeful for 1 main reason. On the link I put up in the box with the main picture it says "Exhibition Model (Scheduled for Release)"
That little Scheduled for Relase- sounds good I just hope they mean over here too.
I bet a 250 could go like 60-70 mph.
How fast do other 250cc scooters go?
I need it for my girlfriend, so we can ride together.

The Honda helix can do 80mph
The Honda Reflex can do 80mph
The Honda Elite 250 can do 70-75mph All 250cc.

80!!!!!
That would be a dream come true. A Honda scooter that was enviromentaly friendly, got good gas milage, was cheap to insure, had room for 2 people and could go 70-80.
I have to have one.
Please God tell the nice Honda people to bring that scoot here.

I hope they read this forum. It's got lots of goodies for Honda I'm not real sure about the 80mph top speed. The Elite and Helix may not look aerodynamic but they are. The PS250 lacks in that dept I'm sure it will be close maybe like 70ish

What would be great would be a two-speed final drive -- low for off-road and a little higher for on-road. It could be something simple, I would happy to get off the bike, go to the rear and flip a lever. frosty

I went on and compaired the motor specs between the PS250 and the Reflex, and they have the same bore, stroke, compresion, displacement, and are 4-stroke, liquid cooled singles. So I'm guessin they are the same power source.
The only diffrences I can SEE, are the Reflex has a rear disc brake and twin shocks in the back. The front wheel and brake set up look the same.
So.... has anyone ridin a Reflex and, whats it like?

:-[On June 17th scrible 88 asked How much is it?? I checked the Dollar-Yen exchange rate last week. 117.72 Yen to the Dollar. Round that off to 118. I found a Japanese website that showed prices of the whole line up---there are 2 prices listed for everything, so I don't know what that means. Zoomer goes for Y189,000 & Y198,450. That translates to $1601 & $1681. Since the Ruckus lists for $1899 that adds about $300. The PS250 Big Ruckus goes for Y479,000 & Y 502,950. That translates to $4059 & $4262. Add in the previously mentioned $300 & that would make the 250 Ruckus the lowest price 250cc scooter in the Honda lineup. Who'll be the first in line?? Please please, no pushing..no cutting in line. That's better...let's act like big kids, OK??

That math sounds correct. I think with the $1800 ruckus price, it is a mspr, cuz when I got mine they said all the ones they had at the dealer were $1599, a $200 wiggle room.
So has anyone ridden the reflex, cuz I want to know what it is like?

i'm new to the scooter thing, i was going to buy a ruckus last summer but wasn't sure i'd get my money's worth untill today i drove a friend's eleit 80 (or how ever it's spelled) and almost kept it, i was looking around and was wondering if anyone would recomend waiting and saving for a PS250 insted of a ruchus, ya know i'm 16 and i have to start thinking of college transportation and an easy way to get to my highschool.

Looking back at this thread is interesting, the guessing as to the speed and the price. The one thing that confuses me is the Honda Spec chart that says the bike should get about 37mpg. That HAS to be wrong as I have gotten 35mph with my 800lb Valkyrie with 1520 cc's. I believe that on the first full tank on the PS250 I got around 60mpg. I will report further on the next tank ;D

Thought I would bump this thread up as it's now a year later and we have the PS250. Mine keeps getting faster as it accumulates miles. It got 64 miles to the gallon and now the tripometer reads 180 miles on this tank of gas, I am going to run it dry and see how far the 3.5 gals can go. I have a half full gas can in my carrier so I will post with the mpg when it runs dry. (So NickelP did you run out like me and get one )
