Hi, I bought a 2004 Ruckus used, and the battery box was camo. I want to change it to the black kind, but I cant find one anywhere. Does anyone know where to find them without going to a dealer (there isnt any local Honda dealers by me)?

Are my eyes decieving me, are the front and back cover only $30? I had such a hell of a weekend with my ruckus. I decided to get the old speedo. bracket welded back on my new bars. I had a friend tig weld the bracket on but before we had to grind a little of the paint of my new black bars. Not THAT big of a deal but didn't make me smile. Then, the bar got so hot that it burnt a little of the paint around the weld so it didn't look good. (I'm a perfectionist) So, I got back to my shop and tried to instal the speedo; didn't go to swell. The cable had a hard time reaching up without bending it. It was rubbing pretty bad on the front cover so I decided to take the dremel and trim away some of the plastic. Still didn't work, so I trimmed more. I ended up trimming a large amount. STILL didn't work right when I turned. I was soooo "edit profanity" that I trimmed away the plastic like that and to have it still not work correctly. I wanted to throw the whole scooter through a window. I'm going to end up either getting new bars or grinding the weld off and having the bars painted and having the speedo mounted somewhere else. I'm clueless though. That damn speedo is making my life miserable.

Yeah that Ronayers site is kinda confusing, it seems that the price of the inner and outer battery cover halves vary. Probably depending on color, you have to find out the color code you want to find the right price. I'd call them before ordering.
It does seem that the front and back covers are between $25 and $43 each.

Holy smokes, I thought I was lookin' at like $100+ a piece. I have the camo now but might like to pick up a black so I can switch between colors every now and then.

I cracked mine somehow. I was thinking $100 or so too. Honda isn't known for being generous about oem parts. On the other hand, check shipping charges which can total to what a dealer might charge anyway.

I called my dealer, it was roughly 30 for one and 40 for the other. I get 10% off of that as well. So, faily inexpensive if you need to replace them.
