messing with the airbox was the first thing i ever did to mine and granted it was all stock, but i had quite the tuning experience with it trying to get it to run at all, then run right, then run well, then run better than stock.
HINT- do not take a hole saw to the back of the airbox haha its waaay too much air and the scooter wont even idle! so i duct taped that- then went to drilling where the originator of this thread showed, had that section looking like swiss cheese, also, that spout sticking up into the airbox i completely chopped off too. well, i ended up having to duct tape the holes i drilled and having that neck cut off was ok. not sure if there were any gains or not, but it did sound a little deeper. i eventually ended up replacing the stock airbox and buying the UNI drop in filter, which was a night and day difference!!

I figure the problem is you've increased airflow but not gas flow. You would hafta change your jetting for this mod to be any useful. what is a good jet to use for the main and secondary jet i have a yoshimura rs2 mini version exhaust with the stock carb and stock air box but with a k&n replacement air filter Also just to notify im trying not to remove stock air box due to me riding in alot of rain i stay in guam u.s.a. territory and our weather is very unpredictable My email: is markanthony.guampowertech@gmail.com
