I took a case in for boring recently (my 3rd one) and the guy at the shop is getting pretty interested in our little engine...I'm hoping to have a chat with him about a bunch of engine possibilities when I pick that case up early next week.

This also means that the 970 engine program is back on.
$900 for a complete engine with a $200 core charge.

What's the difference between 2V & 4V performance? How much is shipping to 46545? I'm going to be in, I need a total cost.

Completely off topic, but I like the line in your sig, Gussie, about the pitbulls, I'm guessing.

It's on a shirt i picked up at a pitbull show, my dog is a complete baby. It's hilarious to watch peoples faces when they see him, I don't tell them I have one and he very rarely barks. He's quite comftorable with himself. (No barking=dog that's not scared.) He looks like he could rip you in half. But i have never had him show any signs of aggression nor support anything of the sort. All he knows is love and be loved.

The pistons are probably the same price, the cost difference is that you'd need to import a 4V head, cam, rocker arms, valves etc from Europe which is probably $500-$700. The difference in performance should be a small advantage for the 4V engine.

Yeah, when I was young, I've always been terrified of dogs, especially some of the ones with bad reputations, but I've spent some time with 3 different pit bulls, and they were all sweethearts. Definately a nurture question more than a nature one with them, I think. Okay, I'll let the topic resume, now.

No, the 4 valve pistons will be more expensive, as i do not want to do a big run, so they will be 290 BUT will not include any other gasket but the hi-po headgasket

what is the projected power gain for switching out the piston? And is there anything else you need to upgrade to make the piston work?

Depends, but mostly is around 1HP or a 25% power boost
