The engine should be Ok if the machining was done right, the only problem i fear is that the big piston produces very little performance increase making all this work for very little reward, however, all indicators are positive so far. We wil know in a couple of days

You should have like customer testimonials, maybe, with a pic of their Ruck with emphasis to whatever you sold 'em.

it's an idea, but chanito already has huge credability on this site,
anyone who can design, research and produce that big bore kit and make it THEE best tuning mod ever, can be trusted with making a windshield and storage box , thats for sure.

thanks i will be doing some final changes, so please keep the feedback coming ;D Just remember not all the customers read this forum, so i have to reach to the people that is not that crazy about his/her ruckus as us

i like the customer testimonials ideas, do it BTW how much for the tach Prices would be good, a little better english on the site would probably help as well. These instead of this in a couple spots nice layout though

Anyone get their overbore done yet? I'm curious since I got my new engine today and I'm going to tear it down and start work on it this weekend. I'll need to wait for the piston before I can really get into it (I'm thinking of decking the head too!) and I need the piston so I can mock up and see how much more I can get out of it compression wise. We have 108 at the pump here in Fort Collins so detonation isn't really a concern, just valves whacking the piston.
Chanito you'll be getting some money here from me very soon! I can't wait!
Will I be the first to do a '03 swap into an '06? Seems kinda silly but it's for a good cause!

I've finished my overbore piston a few months ago and I probably have close to 1000 miles on it now and it's working awesome.
About swapping the 03 engine in to your 06. I'd steal the parts from the 06 engine that have been improved and use those in the 03 engine. Specifically, the PAIR ventilation system is difference so there's no nipple in the 06 intake port and there's the new PCV system which enters the engine in the cam chain tensioner....use the 06 tensioner because the PCV system is great.

Hmm, I was hoping you weren't going to say that, I noticed that nipple and it's part of the intake plenum, I guess I could just switch it. For the most part are the engines the same, I'm planning on using just the long block and using all my '06 components.
Thanks Dan!

Yeah! using the newer PCV system is a very good idea, i would not shave the head, as the valves are way close already, i made the mistake of using regular gas on the big bore, and the engine overheated, so i had to empty the tank and refill it with premium, and if you check the pistons side by side the top does not look that different, so i figure, shaving the head will raise the compression a lot

Does the overbore change this? (I'm assuming it ups it, but do we know how much? Compression ratios are a pain to figure out, maybe a rough idea?) Thanks! KP

Our engines are 11.9 to 1 compression ratio and the big bore raise it to 12.5 to 1and that is enough, much higher and we would have problems with overheating and starting ;D

Nine Will you do another run once these sell ? Since youve already invested the $$ on the research frontier ? Im sure youll sell a couple here in town once mine gets done...... unfortunately im strapped on cash and time to get the thing done... and i wanna get all the bugs ironed out before i do the biggest performance mod........ Any plans for a stroker crank ?

I doubt, i will do another run of pistons as they have move way too slow, the bad part is that if i make more they will be cheaper for me so i can make a good profit on them now, but investing that much money on a hobby is for people wealthier than me, i am going to have a lot of head gaskets left over, as i made 50 of them to justify the stamped steel requirement i wanted so they are like the stock ones
