While my size might be a factor, the engine knocks when put under any load - 3/4 throttle from 15 - 25; especially on a sight hill. This area is 85% flat. I never open the throttle to the pin, because I heard this is just abusive - is that true? Is my motor being damaged with the knocking. I am using 92 octane fuel.
One of the guys who ran the Mad Bastard Rally from CMG stated his is about my size, but does not mention the knocking. I am 6'5" 260lbs.

In the specs, it says the max load is 200lbs. I think that's for optimal ridding conditions. Over that weight, it's straining the bike and it doesn't acheive the same performances (acceleration ain't too fast : F=ma) As for damaging it I wouldn't know. But being honest, at that size, buy a motorcycle! (or a bigger engine) I know this since I'm 5'11'' and 230lbs (ain't a small man myself )

It's hard to tell you with out hearing it in person. Have your dealer look at it.
