On my thread asking the question why you bought your Ruckus, I secondarily asked about driving habits that will provide- hopefully - a long full life to my new scooters. One person gave a great schedule of breaking in a bike - I just wish I thought of that myself.
When I bought mine scoots in Auburn Washington at Hinshaws, They told me to just ride them home to Enumclaw - about 20 miles away, on slow roads. I asked about breakin and the head of Service said these motors are so well made that they do not need additional breaking in. I had the scoots delivered by truck anyway.
So my breakin was just staying off full throttle, long warm-ups, and keeping the top-end strain down under 35 - mostly 20-30 for 80% of the first 200 miles in the first two weeks.
What are your thoughts about break in?
What are your thoughts about speeds and throttle habits that may be abusive to these wonderful scoots. Like everything else I own - I want to have this for many many years in perfect shape.
