My ruckus isn't entirely stock cux i've opened up the airbox, changed the roller weights and added a CDI but i'm sure this method would work for a pure stock ruckus. What you gotta do is put the ruckus up on it's stand. Then fire it up and get the rear wheel spinning at a brisk clip. Finally throw your weight backwards so the ruckus tips off the back of the stand (like a teeter totter) and off you go. The trick is getting the right amount of throttle, too little and you'll just chirp 'em and too much and you'll go right over the back (that's what i did my first time, now my rear fender is scraped up from rubbin on the asphalt). I'm sure this is hard on your ruckus so don't do it often or don't do it at all if you're the cautious type. Also i'd recommend putting some pegs on before you try it cuz your balance will be better and it's easier to throw your weight back that far. Lastly make sure you take some pics and send em to battlescooter.com. I'll try but its tough with my digital camera cuz its got a 1.5sec delay so timing it is impossible.

I'm really light and with my completely stock ruckus I can pull a wheelie when standing on my pegs and ride it for about half a block.
I'll have to get some pics up as soon as I can!
;D
I'll have to try your way.

I have seen pegs mentioned a few times here: where do you get the pegs?

Basicly there are two options availiable. The one I have is $15 dollar folding pegs from any well stocked bike shop. These you will have to take into a well stocked hardware store and search for two large washers about an inch and a half in diameter. these will go on either side of the large holes you have where the steel tube and aluminum frames meet. Also use a lock washer to keep them snug. I think that the folding ones are safer as if you hit the ground when cornering you won't hit and catch and pivot the bike, this could cause a serious fall. This also being the reason that all motorcycles come with the folding pegs. You may want to try to get a piece of foam, cork or rubber to slide over the bolt to help center the pegs. Mine fold up and back at about a 45 degree angle, this way they tuck out of the way. Option number two is the BMX stunt pegs that are availiable at most bicycle shops. Again you will have to seek out a hardware store a bolt and nut and some lock and regular washers. It is also a good idea to support these with foam, rubber or cork around the bolt. It really is up to you The bMX ones are sturdy and look great. But don't forget the safety issue. Esspecially if you find yourself leaning into curves hard.

Hi Doctavian: thanx for the tip. What I want to do would be called highway pegs on a motorcycle. I need more room to put my feet foward of the end of the floor pan. I have a brace on one leg and it doesn't want to stay bent, so I need a way to stretch it out. I will try to post a pic when I figure it out. Ride safe and often

Yeah I am planning on building something like that in the near future. Ones that bolt on to the front two bolts in the floor panel. possibly something adjustable.
