I'm just about to the age where I can(In California) obtain a driver's license and a motorcycle license. I need a cheap vehicle which I can insure relatively easily, and is at least a little fun to drive.
I'm considering the Ruckus because it looks really cool, appears to be fun to ride, gas is very cheap for it, the insurance would be ok, and it's design fits nicely with my non materialistic ideals. The only problem is that I worry it is not powerful enough to make it over some of the more steep areas where I live. Most of the roads are ok, but there are a couple sections where they are insanely steep.
Keep in mind in your response that this would be my only vehicle, save for the occasional drive of one of my parent's cars, or the occasional ride of one of my father's motorcycles.
IF you want to reccomed a diffrent scooter, please keep in mind that I can't spend more than $3000.
EDIT: One other thing, we basically live on the side of a hill, and as such, my driveway is at about a 38 degree angle.(In the 1980's the passsed laws in my area about driveway steepness, but the house was built in 1962).
