I want to get a receiver hitch motorcycle carrier to transport my Ruckus on the highway. There're plenty of choices on e-Bay and other places, but I was hoping I could get some specific recommendations on models/manufacturers particularly appropriate for the Ruckus. Thanks...

Bought a Tilt-a-Ramp from Ramp Connection.com Got the 210 model--60 inchs long. The channel is 5 inches wide....just snug on the Ruckus big tires. The front wheel hoop is almost too tight....I could even let go of the scooter & it didn't fall over. The latch on mine had to be doctored...the shipping container appears to have been bounced on the end. Worked it out OK. Load the Ruck by myself. Besides the tiedown straps to the handlebars, I also tie down the rear to take out some of the bounce of the rear suspension. The wheel channel is JUST long enough for a Ruckus. Plenty long enough for a Metro. ;D

I ended up getting a carrier from a guy in Tx who I found on eBay. His seller name is doorgunner71 and his e-mail is bigdaddyjohn53@netzero.net. He made several phone calls to me and even checked with a Honda dealer and other sources to see if his carrier needed to be adapted for the Ruckus. The price was very reasonable and the delivery prompt. I even had him add a brake light. The carrier is very high quality and rock solid on the back of my Z71. I tested it going 50 mph down some local bumpy sandy dirt roads. Tell him it's for a Ruckus since you may want a longer ramp than is stock- the scooter has less ground clearance than a typical dirt bike so it can get hung at the top of the ramp if the angle is too sharp. Makes loading easier, too. I strongly considered the Tilt-a-ramp but was concerned that their channel is listed as 5 in. and the tire is 5.5 in. I also felt like the fewer the joints the less there was to wear out. Really, the level of customer service was the deciding factor for me. He doesn't always have items on eBay but look at cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2486577871&category=10064Have a great day!
