Can you believe it? I got pulled over by a cop yesterday on my Ruckus.... What He Thought: He saw me swerve and figured I was drunk. What Really Happened: The road I was on isn't in good shape, it's loaded with pot holes. I came up to a really big one and had to swerve to avoid it. After he stopped me and came up to talk to me I explained it all and he could tell I wasn't drunk so he let me go. And all the while I thought he was stopping for the Stop sign that he saw me 'kind of' roll through.

In Virginia since scooters don't require a drivers license, people at times assume any adult on a scoot is probably an alcoholic who finally got their license yanked.

Yeah, pretty much the same here in Michigan too. We do have a rather high rate of alchoholism as I understand it. And I do know some people that have bought them for that very reason.
In Michigan you do not need a drivers liscense to operate a moped, BUT the same traffic laws and penalties apply!!!
