'm wondering if i risk any damage to my NPS 50 if i empty the gas tank and lay it sideways in my SUV in order to take it to the repair shop.
i'm in a bit of a bind because i don't have access to a pickup truck or any proper transport. and get this, i can't even rent a uhaul because they don't allow ford explorers to tow their trailers.
i tried this once before and wet the sparkplug and spilled a bit of gas. it dried out and was fine in a few days.
any info would be a big help. thanks in advance.

I wouldn't lay it down in the SUV, you've still got coolant and oil in there.... how about renting one of those Home Depot trucks for an hour? I can't believe you don't know anyone with atruck!!

???It a dificult call because even though the cooling an oiling system can be put on the side and not spill, putting it side way for a while might allow some oil to go into the pcv system or coolant to spill from the over flow bottle, so if you do not lay it on the side for too long you should be ok, i have done it a couple of times, just try to put it as upward as you can and keep the trip short

When I bought my Ruckus I put it on it's side hanging out the back of a Honda Civic's trunk. The stealership told me this would be fine as long as I let it sit up right for an hour or so once I got home to let all the fluids seep back. I think if you lay it on it's left side it should be okayl....especially if you can prop it up a bit so it's not totally flat.
