i was wondering ....i did my rad fluid and the manual says to let it run with the cover off and then give it quick pulses of throttle ..but i didnt do that..i was wondering if if their is air inside the system how would i know and will it destroy my system....

The air should work its way out and any coolant that is needed in the system will be taken from the coolant resevoir.

Yeah as long as you got the reserve tank hooked up properly and bled then it'll sip from there as it needs it.

By bled you mean forcing coolant through the reservoir hose until there is no air between the tank and the rad right? (By blowing through the vent hose I assume.)

Yeah that's exactly what I mean and exactly how to do it. Just make sure the cap is on the reseviour before you blow in the vent tube or it won't work. I blow in the vent tube until the coolant level rises above the hole in the rad and then I stick my finger over the end of the vent hose to stop the rad from overflowing while I put the cap back on.

Heh, I never did that when I rebuilt, which explains why I got it to overheat without drawing on the reservoir. Of course, since the drain plug was out, it would have gone the way of the rad fluid anyway... :b
