First let me say that i know I did this to myself. I parked my ruckus over the winter in the garage at my work. You know how time gets away from you. Well I went and retrieved my ruck, a 2011, and it just wouldn’t even pretend to start. So I charged the battery and got nothing. So I went and got a new charged and ready to go battery and hooked it up and got the same result, nothing.
I could see that the speedo lit up, the brake light turned on when I tried to start it with the button. I could hear what i am guessing is the fuel pump when i turned the key on. When I tried to kick it over the headlight would flick on and off.
So i can use all the help i can get diagnosing this. The only thing i can think of next is to make sure it is getting a spark and to clean the carb. After that i am out of ideas.
Thanks in advance for your help. I an going to try to do all the work myself.

Ok I was out fiddling around with things and I discovered something. It seems that during the moving process I hit the kill switch and that’s why it would t do anything at all. Now it makes sounds like it wants to start but just won’t catch. Still need any help I can get. I’m stripping it down now to check on the carb and spark plug.

Just a quick update. I got the carb out. There were a few more things attached to it than i thought but I really only had to take out two screws. I cranked it over when i took the fuel line off and i am wondering how fast should the fuel be flowing. When i cranked it the fuel flowed in what i would call a quick dribble, Is that right? Or should there be more fuel flowing? Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Now for another update. Well i got the carb off and it is bad. I mean the inside is green and the jet i could get out was green and crusty. So i am going to need new jets at least. Does anyone know a good source for carburetor rebuild kit?

I know a guy selling 4 packs for tuning for $16 / set. "Houston prestigious ruckus society" on FB. In case you can't find a good deal.
