Hey guys, Hoping for some help. We let this scooter sit without being started for 3-4 years and the fluids were not drained (yes, we are ashamed). Recently I decided to try to fix it and so far I have: replaced nearly all of the tubing, took apart and cleaned the carb, replaced the fuel filter, drained the gas and added new gas with some fuel system cleaner additive, replaced the battery Once everything was reassembled, the scooter fires up fine and the idle/before any throttle is applied it sounds fine. As you can hear in the video, when I apply throttle the engine sounds like it's surging and sort of revving then wanting to quit. I drove it down the street and it wouldn't go over 10-15 mph. I'm wondering if maybe there was some stuff at the bottom of the gas tank that could have dirtied the new fuel filter when I first tried to start it up today, but like I said, the idle sounds good which makes me think it's getting constant fuel. I'm also somewhat of a noob as the name would imply, so this could be totally wrong. Anyway, thanks in advance. If anyone has any suggestions, we would appreciate it! Did you get it fixed? If so, what did you do.
